Donnie is a native to Meridian, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelors degree in Industrial Technology. His first 12 years of experience was in manufacturing management. In 1993 Donnie established D&H Construction & Cabinetry. Donnie is the past president of the Home Builders Association of Mississippi (BCAM) and a board member of the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Ashley Massey is the daughter of Donnie Massey, and she graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelors degree in public relations and a minor in marketing. She continued with her studies at Meridian Community College receiving a certification in AutoCAD and in August 2018, Ashley received her certificate as a general contractor for Building Construction in the state of Mississippi.
